For some reason, the icemaker in our fridge stopped making ice. This icemaker fit perfectly and was an easy DIY repair job. It arrives with all of the pieces as shown in the photo with the description, and comes in a sealed box as shown. My only complaint is that the icemaker was FILTHY with black, smudged fingerprints all over the white front part when we pulled it out of the sealed box. I'd already told my husband to make sure and wash it off before installing it, and his response when he opened the box was, "how'd you know this was dirty?" Of course I didn't know before hand (and, honestly, he probably wouldn't have washed it if he hadn't seen the fingerprints so on hand, it's a good thing they were there, but on the other.... ewwwwww). Anyway, it works great. I'm glad to have ice again!Read full review

None of the cables had the proper electrical connector for plugging into the fridge connector, so I had to go online and look for the right cable, spend just under $20 and then that cable barely fit, needed to be another 1/2" long. It is very slow making cubes, not sure why, and we found a big chunk of ice in the bucket where water had leaked out at some time. Not sure all the reasons, still investigating. I was putting it in a Kenmore, made by Whirlpool.

The unit is of good quality and after watching the YouTube Video's that explained how to replace my ice-maker, it was a fairly simple and straight-forward job. It took about an hour to do and that was only because I had to install a water cutoff valve inline to the ice-maker and water dispenser before I could shut the water off to the ice-maker. After that is was a piece of cake. It seems to make ice very nicely. I bought some 8 lb. ice bags online and so far I have collected about 32 lbs. of ice which I store in a chest freezer for later when the weather is much warmer. The additional ice also helps to keep the chest freezer from having to work too hard. So, I get two benefits for the price of one. Hope this has been of some help to you.

Got the ice maker and installed it and it makes ice just as it should. The frig is 6 years old and this is the 3rd ice maker it's getting. The first one that came with the frig lasted about 2 years. I replaced it with another brand and that one lasted about 4 years. Now I replaced it with this brand and we shall see how long this one last. The ice maker in the frig I had before this one was the one that came with the frig and it was 25 years old when I passed it on to my son for his garage and it is still in operation and that was 6 years ago so that one is actually 31 years old. I guess we will see how long this one will last.
