I have a GE stove that came with an aluminum griddle. The grate is much better and more useful than the aluminum griddle that comes with the stove. If I need a griddle then I take my lodge cast iron griddle and put it on top of the grate. It heats more evenly and faster than the aluminum. It also makes the surface grates level with each other. the griddle had a dip that made it impossible to slide a heavy pan off the heat or to one of the other burners. Also the griddle is Teflon coated which scratches easily and cooking on teflon is not the best thing one should be doing anyway.

Good product at a fair price.

This grate is the option for the stove, which comes with a griddle. I would think it would be included for the price of the stove, but it isn't. It's much more useful than the griddle, and is a perfect fit.

This grate is exactly what is needed to allow large central burner to be utilized for large pots as it replaces the griddle that comes with the range.

It matches and fits perfectly on my new stove. I think it's a shame, though, consumers are forced to buy a grate for a new stove. The stove should come with this piece.
