Finally a fix
My ice maker was overfilling and icing up the rails of the freezer making it difficult to open and close. First thing I did was to replace the control valve on the back of the fridge. Did that, no luck. Tried changing back to name brand water filters to see if that made a difference. It didn't. Tried releveling the ice maker. No luck there either. I was about to give up and saw this replacement unit on eBay. About $30-40 cheaper than I could find elsewhere online. Figured it was worth a shot. Finally no more overfilling and no more ice on my freezer rails! Wish I would have tried this first. The perfect replacement at a perfect price
This turned out to be a very simple replacement for my factory installed original ice maker. No power cord changes or adapters were required. Simply unplug a connector, loosen two screws and remove a third. The old unit was out in a breeze and the new unit dropped right into place. I'm sure a repairman would have charged a couple hundred dollars for the repair. The new ice maker has been working perfectly since installation.This turned out to be a very simple replacement for my factory installed original ice maker. Had ice within a half hour!
This is a very universal ice machine which fits most common refrigerators today. In my case, I had to not use the lower cover and the stainless metal bracket. With a little patients, aligned the mounting screws, plugged in the power cord, and within a half hour, oh that sweet sound of clattering cubes cascading into the tray! Thank you!

This icemaker was to replace the original that quit working. When I started looking, there were cheaper ones that, supposedly would work but were not like the original. I steered away from these. A used one that matched the original was only slightly cheaper so I went with the new one and have no regrets. Make sure you keep the shut-off bar from your original icemaker as this one did not come with this and it is very simple to remove and reinstall. Also, before purchasing the icemaker make sure that this is the problem and not the supply switch.This icemaker was to replace the original that quit working. As good as the original.
The ice make was OEM as advertised. At first it wouldn't stop making ice. After a couple of YouTube videos we found that the little metal arm has to be pushed into the hole until it clicks. Easy fix and it's working perfectly.
