A Quality Fix
OEM equipment in the OEM packaging. Both the Thermal Cut-off switch and High Limit Thermostat Switch included. Replace both at the same time. Don't get just the cheep look alike cut-off switch because it blows at a lower temp, 309 degrees as opposed to 350. The high limit thermostat may test ok but actually allow enough heat to cause the cut-off switch to blow. I ended up taking the dryer apart again after just 6 uses and had to wait for parts again because I only replaced the cut-off switch and it blew.OEM equipment in the OEM packaging. Stick with the OEM...(which these are!)
I finally got around to repairing my Kenmore Drier 110 model....with these parts. I'd had them for a while but had managed to get an 'aftermarket' thermostat repair kit to work, so I literally put these on the shelf waiting til/if they were needed. Mistake...as that day came when a noticeable burning smell was emitting from the drier....and the the heat failed...again. Upon investigation I found the aftermarket kit had obviously overheated and failed to break the circuit causing some of the wiring to melt. This could have cause an electrical fire. I replaced the wiring and the kit with the OEM units and my drier functions as it should. Stick to the OEM on this!I finally got around to repairing my Kenmore Drier 110 model....with these parts. Both thermostats were direct drop-in replacements for the original parts, and one month later both are working great. Note that the original thermal fuse was secured to the heater duct with two screws; the replacement fuse is secured with one screw, with a small tab on the fuse that fits into the hole in the duct where the second screw was formerly anchored. Although this is a sight modification from the original part, the replacement part fits just fine.Both thermostats were direct drop-in replacements for the original parts, and one month later both are working great. Genuine Parts as I like it.
Good Genuine OE switch kit, I did need only one switch not both for my application. Buying only one will cost more, so I bought as the set - combo. Second switch doesn't apply to my Dryer model, so don't need, probably will toast it. Again beter price for combo deal instead to buy only one.
